Stockmarket is getting there...

 Well after another coding session I have finally added the stock market screen this allows the player to buy, sell and jettison cargo. For the player these changes mean you can scoop cargo and sell your scooped treasures, although be careful as NPC's do tend to like players who have cargo aboard ;). You can also trade between the many locations in Star Rogue.

Next on my list is some adjustments to the screens to make the game more fluid and easy to play once this is in there I can release a new version. Once they are in I will begin finally adding in the shipyard this will make it so that players will finally have restrictions that will be provided by restricted space with the ship they have. Once bigger better ships are in there the player will be able to change to making the game more easier to make more credits per mission.

Star Rogue stockmarket is getting there...

Well after another few productive few days we have the early stages of the new stockmarket for Star Rogue. This new market will conpletely replace the old market with a new improved system, once the whole system is in the old BBS system will finally be retired in favour of the new system. Once that is done i will be moving on to opening the shipyard section next so we can get player and NPC ships fully complete and make it so we have yo actually have cabins on the ship to take passengers ;)

Star flight: Star Rogue 0.1.5f/145 update released on googleplay.

 Yes you guessed it we have another release of Star Flight: Star Rogue out (v0.1.5f/145 alpha). Whilst the game is still in alpha we are moving forwards getting the game to a more complete state that will allow us to get to the point that all platforms can move forwards as one. Using the system we have we can release on Windows (32 and 64bit), OSX, Linux, Android and iOS.

This release has the following adjustments;

BBS Update - the new BBS system is still very much in development and whilst its moving in the right direction there is still loads we want to do to bring it more in line with what we intend for the complete game and the ever closer final release.

BBS News - after a short hiatus its back, its bigger and better than before the new system is more complete than the previous iteration of the news system.

Collision - Asteroids are now solid, this may sound rather obvious but the new asteroids can cause you critical damage from one collision depending on how fast you was going when you decided to play chicken with it.

Bug fixes to the BBS system have also been done in this patch this was down to some of the generation system corrupting some of the data for the news, this was partly why the revamp was required. We have noticed there are still some small adjustments that are required and these will be fixed in a future update.

Encryption adjustments - now it uses a longer password for the encryption system which also will no longer be visible in the bytecode file ;)


On top of this we are also developing another project using Unity this will be announced at a later date as it comes to a more complete state, alongside out Python projects which are coming together rather nicely as well.
